Sun.Star reported that long-time onscreen partners Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson have recently renewed their contracts with ABS-CBN.

The contract signing event held at the ABS-CBN Compound in Quezon City was attended by ABS-CBN executives Charo Santos-Concio and Cory Vidanes.

Kim Chiu is seen regularly on the primetime television series “My Binondo Girl” together with Xian Liam and Matteo Guidicelli. On the other hand, Gerald Anderson can be seen on ABS-CBN’s newest primetime television series “Budoy”.

As of this writing, it is still unclear whether or not Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson will be doing any projects together in the future.

Kim Chiu also went home with the “It Girl” award, an award which means that she is one of the “Stars of today who we predict will make it through 15 years.”

Other Kapamilya stars including Piolo Pascual was the runaway winner for the Sexiest Male star and got a “Legend” award while Angel Locsin won as the Sexiest Female star.

The hottest love team in the country today, Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson, or more popularly known as “Kimerald” was given the German Moreno Youth Achievement Award during the 57th Gabi ng Parangal of the FAMAS or Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences last October 18, 2009 held at the PAGCOR Grand Theatre in Sucat Paranaque.

The couple were present during the awarding ceremonies but failed to claim their awards as the couple needed to leave early because of their TV commitments. Rumors even spread saying that Kim and Gerald didn’t want to share the stage with Kris Bernal and Aljur Abrenica who also received the same award.

Meanwhile, fans of the Kimerald love team should fret no more as a new TV series starring the couple is currently in the works. “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo” will be Kimerald’s newest project with ABS-CBN, which will also star the Queen of All Media Kris Aquino.

A Magical Night for Kapamilya Stars—Star Magic in cooperation with Young Designers Guild, Fashion and Design Council of the Philippines, and Fashion Designers Association of the Philippines organized a fashion show entitled “Magic for a Cause” for the benefit of typhoon victims last October 11, 2009 at the Studio 10 of ABS-CBN. Star Magic Stars including Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson became models wearing the creations of A-list designers in the country.

Kapamilya Stars spotted at the runway were Diether Ocampo, Bea Alonzo, Pokwang, Chokoleit, Erich Gonzales, Angelica Panganiban, Piolo Pascual, Gretchen Barretto, Sam Milby, Rafael Rosell, and Shaina Magdayao to name a few.

Kapamilya singers Jed Madela, Laarni Lozada and Richard Poon, through their performances, made the night even more entertaining.

Some of the noted fashion designers featured in the fashion show include Inno Sotto, Randy Ortiz, Joey Samson, Francis Libiran, Black Label, Patrice Ramos-Diaz, Oskar Peralta, Bang Pineda, Lulu Tan Gan, Cary Santiago Joey Samson, Marlon Rivera, Tonichi Nocom, Renee Salud, Frederick Peralta, Puey Quinones, Jun Escario, Avel Bacudio, Jojie Lloren, Bang Pineda, and Josie Natori.

Johnny Manahan, head of Star Magic said: “Magic For A Cause was truly magical. In less than a week, we put up a superb fashion show with the best directors, models, makeup artists, and 80 of the top Star Magic artists, and we were able to raise millions. Magic yun!”

The event was able to raise P152,000 cash donations and three-million-peso worth of in-kind donations. Donations were turned over to the ABS-CBN Foundation Sagip Kapamilya.

Hindi pa rin mamatay-matay ang isyu na si Kim Chiu daw ay isang “anoxeric” dahil daw sa sobrang payat ng batang aktres. Makailang beses na ring sinagot ni Kim ang nasabing isyu ngunit wala pa  rin tigil sa papanira ang ibang tayo sa bonggang-bongga niyang karera sa showbiz.

Ang kwento nga ni Kim, eh, tuwing nagkakaroon daw siya ng pagkakataon na magbasa ng mga blogs at forums sa Internet, eh, lagi na lamang siyang nakakabasa ng mga kumento sa kanyang timbang. Syempre, natural lang naman sa isang fan na mag-alala kapag ang iniidolo mo ay nangangayayat.

Ano nga ba ang mamagawa ni Kim kung talagang nasa genes niya ang pagiging mapayat. Ang sabi pa nga ng aktres, eh, talagang mapapayat silang magkakamag-anak. Kaya naman hindi malayong namana ni Kim ang pagiging payat mula sa mga magulang niya.

Kwento pa ni Kim, mayroon daw isang pagkakataon na parang ayaw na niya magbasa ng blogs at web forums sa Internet dahil puro na lang daw negative ang nababasa niya. Nakakawalang gana rin naman kasi kung marami kang negative write-ups na mababasa.

Pero, ang mas nakakawindang na chika, eh, ang KIMERALD fans, eh, tila nag-aaklas sa management nang ABS-CBN dahil hindi si Kim Chiu ang katambal ni Gerald Anderson sa bagong palabas ng ABS-CBN na Ang Agimat – Ramon Revilla series. Mayroon pa ngang chika na hindi susuportahan ng KIMERALD fans ang nasabing solo project ni Gerald Anderson. Hindi daw kasi bagay si Gerald kay Erich Gonzales at kay Kim lamang daw nababagay si Gerald. Hmmm…

Siguro, mas maganda kung susuportahan na lamang ng Kimerald fans ang bawat proyekto ni Kim at Gerald magkasama man sila o hindi.
